Griffin Tunebud Mobile Headphone (for Iphone) Review Coming UpPosted by: chunp in Toys, cellphone, gadgets, iPhone, muziqPicked up these headphones about a week ago. Putting it through real life use and will post a review in a couple of days. I have pics of the unboxing and I’ll throw those up as well. I’ll leave it with - one learns to appreciate apple’s simplistic design over time.

Apartment In a Box - Someone Help Fund These Guys!Posted by: chunp in Toys, gadgets, internetWow this is super cool. We’ve all read “x” in a box but it’s always lacking in some way or another. While I can’t vouch for the construction of this stuff, I’ve been in and out of college. College kids is the target market that keeps giving. The founders of this company need help funding. Someone help them! Ikea buy’em out! The unpack takes ~10 minutes.

Microsoft Acquires Danger - Sidekick Users Deemed “Professionals”, Protests EverywherePosted by: chunp in Microsoft, cellphone, gadgets, internet
My buddy Q (facebook smackdown app fame) picked up the sidekick back when it had first came out - monochrome, clunky but the first to hit the mainstream with a qwerty device & always on IM. He absolutely loved it. As the hardware got better (software development moved like snails) I always loved the concept but felt execution was lacking. Maybe I wasn’t in the target market for it. While many may think this is sad…I was a complete and utter phone/device whore. I went through phones quicker then JLO went through dudes. That being said, the iPhone has ended my phone addiction. This is quite possibly the longest I have ever owned a phone. Too much time on my hands you ask? Absolutely. When the SDK is released in February and then the 3G version releases, I’ll be an iPhone user for a long time. Here’s a run down of my past phones. It all started with the trusty SE t68i. Now that I think about it, it was really bluetooth that got me going.
That was all in about 4 years. Why so many? I’m a grup who loves his toys.
So if you’re anything like the rest of the population, you’re still looking for that last “gift.” or multiple gifts. Luckily, MSN has compiled a pretty decent series of coupons in alot of various categories. Here’s a quick breakdown: Looks like good deals from overstock, attwireless, radio shack and KBToys to name a few. Check it out here:

Work Hard & Get an Apple From the Teacher for a ChangePosted by: chunp in apple, gadgets, internet, valleywagSo say…the company you work for has $15B in cash (straight chillin.) They come out with really cool “ish“. Their products get the Time’s Gadget of the Year award. Their stock is killin it (overall trends that is…) And…if you’re a really hard working tech guy? and your stock hasn’t hit a point that you can buy what real men really want? <insert what u like…just don’t share> Look to good ol’ Steve to hook you up and say - Happy Christmahanakwanzaka. Apple Bluetooth Headset Unboxed…a2dp Still MissingPosted by: chunp in Toys, apple, cellphone, gadgetsHere’s to hoping a2dp gets unlocked through a software update. My take is a2dp will be unlocked when Apple releases their own version. Nomad posted some pics on his flickr page that he sent over to TUAW. It looks pretty svelte. Leave it to apple to make a plain black bluetooth headset look so good. FYI Steve - the Kool-Aid works. TUAW states: ‘It’s packaged in a black, minimalist box, as expected. Inside is the headset itself, a combo dock (accommodates the iPhone and headset) with USB cable and a travel cable for the headset only.’

a) the merger goes through. b) the merger goes through. Caveat (all good deals have them) - this will only include a combo of 50 of their channels and a quarter to add another one. According to various sources (I’ll quote the giz here because I’m using their nifty PS image.) Image credit goes to Gizmodo.
Ooma is a new service set to kick off in September, where they use a peer model to make domestic calls in the US free. No fee - just a hardware cost. That will run you about 4 bones. So hardware upfront - no hidden fees or fees on the backend. Read more about TC’s post here. Simply comment and if you have a funny story - one of 50 is yours. I filled one out. I’ll post unboxing pics and brief review if I win one. |
